Some people will put themselves through high school and try to write a minor on a resume without realizing that they don't know what they are doing. So what is the first step in writing a minor on a resume? The answer is simple.Write a major as a follow up to your resume. If you are applying for a job in an entry level position, then you should put your major on your resume. It doesn't matter what your other jobs were or how many different positions you held before.However, if you are applying for a higher level position, then you should instead write a 'full time'true minimum wage position.' This way you make sure that you get picked up by a hiring manager who reads your resume. However, don't worry because a lot of employers have already started following the same strategy.Now, what about after a degree is obtained, but you still want to include your work experience as part of your resume? Again, the major that you wrote at the beginning will serve as a guide to what type of job you can apply for and what type of position you should put on your resume.The best way to make your minor resume stand out is to include your real name and perhaps some identifying information. If you are applying for a job that requires identification, then it will help if you include a driver's license number. Or, even better, show your passport!After you have completed all of the above and put all of your work experience in, it's time to think about what you should put on your resume. You might consider including information on a previous internship, an executive summary, or information about your educational accomplishments.With that said, most people believe that you should never include anything about your education unless it is a masters or PhD degree. Most employers will ask for a letter of recommendation at the end of your resume, so make sure that y ou include that. However, don't forget that you can also list information about your work experience in your resume.Use your experience to make it easier for the hiring manager to make their decision, which means that you should list more work experience than just additional experience. Of course, don't be afraid to add a little bit of work experience in. Even though you know that this is a form of adding something to your resume, so be sure to include it.
